Two days adventure camp at Agumbe - [18th - 19th May 2013]
About the place: Agumbe is a village located in the Shimoga district in the state of Karnataka, India. Lying in the Thirthahalli taluk and the Malnad region. Agumbe is among the places in India that receive very heavy rainfall & that is why Agumbe also popularly known as "Cherarapunji of the South". It is also the home of the Agumbe rainforest research station, the only permanent rainforest research station in India. The renowned herpetologist Romulus Whitaker called Agumbe the Capital of King Cobra. An area near Agumbe has been converted into a protected area for Medicinal Plants to help in their conservation.
Since 2005, Naxalite activity has been observed near Agumbe and hence a lot of Karnataka State Police personnel have been deployed and check posts created in all intersections. This however has not hindered visitors from visiting the region to enjoy the natural beauty of Agumbe and its surroundings.

07:00PM Camp fire
08:00PM Dinner - Overnight stay
Sunday 19th May 2013:
06:00AM Trek to Kundadri betta
07:00AM Reach & Experience a wonderful view & a great spot for photography
08:30AM Reach back to Campsite
09:00AM Breakfast - Relax in the Campsite or enjoy the activities inside the campsite like cave walking etc.
02:30PM Start back to Bangalore
10:30PM Reach back to Bangalore
Note: Drop points will be the same as pick-up points
Things to carry:
-- One strong back pack (Preferably water proof)
-- Water bottles (At least 2 litres)
-- Change of clothes for the above mentioned duration
-- Sport shoes for better grip
-- Sunscreen & sunglasses
-- Toiletries (Shampoo, towel, toothpaste, tissue paper, etc.)
-- Allergy medication (if any)
-- Energy & refreshing food/drink like chocolate, nutribars, Juice packs, Glucon-D etc. (If you wish)
-- Torches with new batteries
-- Camera (Optional)
-- Rain Coat (Just in case)
