Camping at Nagalapuram & Tupilipalem
Beach - [24th - 26th June 2017] -
About the place:
Nagalapuram, is a small town 70 km south east of Tirupati. This village was designed during Sri Krishnadevaraya reign in the memory of his mother. The town has a very famous temple of Vedanarayana swamy. Nagala trail is one of the famous trekking route in easter ghats. It will be first time BMC is exploring is going to eastern ghat.
Koni Falls is one among the few little known trekking places in India, which includes hills, rivers and dense forest all around and provides thrilling experience for trekkers. The trek starts from the large lake which is connected to the reserve forest and is an ideal spot for camping. The pool of water is surrounded by high rocky mountains which can be climbed to reach the top of the cliff. There are three waterfalls throughout the trek and one of them has a sliding option on which you can easily slide and jump down into the deep clean waters. The gorgeous and absolutely stunning pools come after the other in little distance between each.
Tada Falls, is a waterfall located in the Chittoor district of India. Coming under the Buchinaidu Kandriga and Varadaiahpalem Mandal falls are located 93 kilometers from Chennai and 85 kilometers from Tirupathi. The falls are located in a forest called the Siddulaiah Kona. The relation to Lord Shiva ensures that the festival of Maha Shivaratri is a common time for localities to visit. This is a rocky forest with humongous rocks on the way. There are 4 pools to bathe in and have fun, as the water flowing from the falls forms poodles of water between these rocks. The water is crystal clear and at different places, the collected water appears with different hues (bluish, orange and green) making the atmosphere exotic.
The chirping of birds and flapping of beautiful butterflies along with unworldly tree shapes adds more essence to it and a feel, that is found only when we are amidst nature. The first falls is a small one and as we trek the falls keep on getting bigger until we reach the final point of the trek. Here we encounter a Huge 200m waterfall. At the peak rainy season, we can see 3 falls at this point. Previous falls may be smaller but the water flow and glittering waters are a good enough therapy to relax and loosen the tensed up muscles after a long week of work.
Tupilipalem beach is part of Simhapuri Tourism Circuit in Nellore district which has about 170 KM coast line by the Bay of Bengal. This coast line is blessed with a good number of beautiful beaches. Camping here will be a unique experience as these beaches are unpolluted, uncrowded and clean.
Antargange near Bangalore is the perfect destination for hiking and rock-climbing. The most exciting part of this trek is the exploration of old caves on the volcanic relief of the residual hills. It is one such trek that allows roving during the deep, dark and misty environment around while crawling and fitting yourself through the narrow gaps of the caverns and a sunset provide an additional thrill.
